Black Eudaimonia, Inc's Trip Code of Conduct & Participant Responsibilities

1. Scope and Applicability

This Code of Conduct applies to all participants, guests, contractors, and staff attending or participating in any Black Eudaimonia–organized trip, retreat, or travel experience (“Trip”). Compliance with this policy is a condition of participation.

 

2. Standard of Conduct

Participants agree to conduct themselves in a professional, lawful, and respectful manner at all times. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Refraining from harassment, discrimination, intimidation, or abusive conduct based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, age, or any other protected characteristic.

  • Engaging with others in a manner that does not disrupt the Trip or infringe on the rights, safety, or enjoyment of others.

3. Compliance With Laws and Rules

Participants must comply with:

  • All applicable local, state, federal, and international laws and regulations;

  • All rules, policies, and instructions issued by Black Eudaimonia, Trip leaders, guides, vendors, and venue operators.

Failure to comply may result in immediate corrective action.

 

4. Safety and Risk Acknowledgment

  • Participants agree to follow all safety instructions and guidelines provided during the Trip.

  • Participants acknowledge that travel and group activities involve inherent risks and agree to conduct themselves in a manner that minimizes risk to themselves and others.

  • Any injury, illness, unsafe condition, or incident must be promptly reported to Trip leadership.

5. Alcohol, Drugs, and Prohibited Substances

  • Participants must comply with all laws regarding alcohol and controlled substances.

  • Illegal drug use is strictly prohibited.

  • Alcohol consumption must not impair judgment, cause disruption, or endanger any person.

Black Eudaimonia reserves the right to restrict or prohibit participation by any individual whose substance use poses a safety or operational risk.

6. Consent, Harassment, and Personal Boundaries

  • Participants must respect personal boundaries at all times.

  • Non-consensual physical contact, sexual misconduct, or harassment is strictly prohibited.

  • Photography, video recording, or audio recording of others requires prior consent when reasonably expected.

Violations may result in immediate removal and referral to local authorities where applicable.

7. Property, Accommodations, and Damages

  • Participants are responsible for their own personal property.

  • Damage to accommodations, transportation, or facilities caused by a participant may result in financial liability.

  • Shared spaces must be used responsibly and in accordance with posted or communicated rules.

8. Enforcement and Removal

Black Eudaimonia reserves sole discretion to determine whether a participant has violated this Code. Consequences may include, without limitation:

  • Verbal or written warnings;

  • Restriction from activities;

  • Immediate removal from the Trip at the participant’s expense;

  • Denial of future participation.

  • Legal action to the fullest extent permitted by law.

No refunds will be issued for removals related to conduct violations.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Black Eudaimonia shall not be liable for any loss, injury, damage, or expense arising from a participant’s failure to comply with this Code of Conduct or applicable laws.

10. Acknowledgment and Agreement

By registering for or participating in a Black Eudaimonia Trip, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to comply with this Code of Conduct as a condition of participation.
