Black Eudaimonia
Uplifting Black Joy in Green Spaces
Black Eudaimonia is a social community designed to bridge the gap between the Black community and accessibility to green spaces, including our state and national parks. We offer programming to allow people across the diaspora to fall radically in love with the world around them while learning techniques to foster a long-term relationship with the outdoors. We focus on wellness retreats, outdoor recreational events, and sustainability practices. Building our community and experiencing new ventures together will benefit our collective health and well-being.

Our Philosophy and Vision
The vision of Black Eudaimonia is to empower everyone to live their truth and seek new experiences. We will operate with the philosophy of building an organization that constantly strives to be happy, healthy, and prosperous. We will create a safe space for each other to fall radically in love with the world and foster a desire to protect the environment.
Our Three Activity Pillars
Hiking
Hiking is the pillar that will focus on connecting our community to nature. There is a sense of freedom in exploring the outdoors, and it is comforting to have a community to surround and protect each other.
Travel Retreats
Traveling is the pillar that will offer considerable benefits to our community. Traveling expands one's cultural education, builds their *sociological imagination, and provides a means of leisure. Exploring the world will create experiences that one can use to foster their sense of belongingness and further their wisdom and skill set.
Community Development
Black Eudaimonia started in D.C, specifically through a Howard University undergrad student; however, the goal is to reach and serve Black people across the diaspora. Everyone in our community can benefit from traveling and exploring the world together.
